we attire ourselves
in the costumes of eden
private masquerade
|

RAG AND BONE POET
rag and bone poet
pick up words that others drop
weave them into verse
|
|
QUITE IMPORTANT JOB
quite important job
this chasing of butterflies
a task for poets
|
|
OCEAN
How many have heard the ocean,
Watched and wondered at its
Vastness and powerful range,
Its history and all it's wrought,
In the affairs of men and
Upon the minds of poets,
Philosophers, lovers, and
Warlike men?

END OF AN ANGEL
wings were first to go
halo lost in a card game
his robe in her boudoir
