Vitamin K is a member of the fat soluble vitamins. Many people have never even heard of it. It actually has three different forms: phytomenadione (Vitamin K1), menaquinane (Vitamin K2), and menadione (Vitamin K3). Some common foods which are rich in Vitamin K are: liver, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, swiss chard, parsley, cabbage, mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens, alfalfa sprouts, coriander, green tea, chick peas, kale, soybeans, cottonseed, canola oil, olive oil, cheddar cheese.

Remember that if you are taking coumadin or warfarin, you should avoid foods that are rich in Vitamin K and Vitamin K supplements as they will act opposite to the medication.
