As we grow older, our bodies tend to add weight naturally. The key point to remember is that just becasue it happens naturally does not mean that it is healthy. The weight gained as we age often is a major risk factor in many age-related diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

If you find many simple tasks or activities, like walking up a flight of stairs, has become more difficult, you may want to think about losing weight.

Of course, becoming out of breath from simple activities may not necessarily just be a weight problem, but there is a good chance that it is. You probably need to have it checked out anyway.
