If you've ever been in this situation, especially if you spoke the
words, here are some tips for building libido....otherwise known as the
desire for sex.
First, tell me if you can relate to the following experience:
A long, long work week has finally reached its end.
Of course, the week was difficult, but the main reason for its
lengthiness was possibly due more to anticipation, anticipation of what
the weekend held in store, than the weekend itself.
All weekends have the potential to be great. But this
particular weekend was expected to be WAY above average.
Why?
Because you were going to spend it with your significant other.
You two were going to get away from it all...maybe in one of
the finest of hotels your city has to offer. And if a little
bit of luck was on your side, it would turn out to be one of the more
memorable "experiences" of a lifetime...well...if you know what I mean
(wink, wink, nod, nod).
Perhaps as it turned out, things didn't go as planned.
Sure, the hotel was great, and the decor was to die for, but Those Five
Dreadful Words were spoken, the ones that always put the kibosh on a
romantic night of lovemaking:
....."I'm
not in the
mood."
Sometimes thay are not spoken, but hover in the room, casting a pall
over what should be some pretty significant festivities.
Anywayk, each of us has either had the thougt, or heard the
words spoken before. Whether you're the speaker or the spoken to, it's
never pleasant. Sex can be a HUGE part of a relationship, and
when opportunities for lovemaking go by without being taken advantage
of, it frequently diminishes the thrill, exciterment, and number of
forthcoming opportunities -- whether it's due to fear of the same thing
happening again, or the lowering of expectations.
The key, of course, is to have that "motivation" for sexual pleasure,
excitement, and adventure already awake within you at all times so
those Five
Dreaded Words are never spoken.
Here's a small helping of ways in which to keep your libido lifted so
you can avoid the 5DW :
Watch Your
Diet
Skeptics argue that keeping one's libido lifted through diet can be a
self-fulfilling prophecy.
If you think almonds or chocolate will lift your libido, odds are good
they will.
So, what does scientific evidence tell us abou diet and libido.
Some studies suggest that certain foods do, indeed, lift one's
libido.
For example, a study from Southwestern
University found that coffee beans can lift the libido of
females. For men, on the other hand, the love-lifting
libation is tea, specifically Damiana tea. Alternative health expert Dr. Sarah Brewer
says the ingredient responsible for increasing male libido in this tea
is called gonzalitosin.
This ingredient actually sends a tingling sensation to the penis.
As a man, all I can say is, "Nuff said!"
