How to Lose Weight Without Diet or Exercise

Look, I know you spent a lot of time looking for this website, and if you want to cut to the chase, I will tell you up front that I recommend a company called "Diet to Go", which, despite its name, will help you learn how to lose weight without diet or exercise.  But, I do have some other info for you, and you might just be interested enough to read on.

The safest, most effective way to lose weight is through a combination of healthy nutrition (diet), and physical activity (exercise).

A diet is also automatically seen as something difficult to accomplish and not very rewarding...either in terms of pleasure or weight loss.

After all that, the fact still remains, that diet and exercise are the two tried, true, and proven methods to lose weight.  So, where does that leave us in our effort to learn how to lose weight without diet or exercise?

As we look around us at people who are trim and fit, we find it hard to believe that many of them were once overweight and out of shape themselves.  Even harder to believe is that they might have lost weight without an intense program of diet and exercise.

Of course, heredity does play a large part in this, but surely there is some secret...some pill, potion, or poultice which can be the answer to how to lose weight without diet or exercise?

Well, most pills and other weight loss products are very limited in their effectiveness.  In fact, most such products usually have something on their label or in their literature which says something to the effect of, "...when used in conjuntion with regular exercise and a good nutrional program".

Weight loss solutions such as these fall into two general categories:

1.  Those which have a very modest effect, if any, on weight loss...

And

2.  Those which have a profound effect but produce their own potential health problems.

Even weight loss surgery, such as the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, which is a well documented and studied weight loss procedure which is only performed by the most skilled and experienced surgeons has the potential for extreme negative effects.  I know this for a fact after observing first hand the events experienced by several relatives.

Again, research shows overwhelmingly that healthy, permanent weight loss is most effectively achieved through a program of good nutriton and physical activity.

The good news is that exercise does not have to be difficult or strenuous, nor does it have to be scheduled, require special equipment or training, or create pain and discomfort.  The walk down to the corner which you have NOT been taking, can qualify as the start of an exercise program if done regularly.  You will have to eventually walk a little farther or faster to keep increasing the health benefits and weight loss, but many people have started just this way.

By the same token, eating properly, i.e. diet, does not have to mean doing without the things you like to eat or the pleasures of dining out or a pleasureable evening with friends and/or family.

When you see someone who exercises at a level which seems impossible for you to achieve, it is almost a sure bet that at some previous time, they were nowhere near as fit as they are now.  In fact, it is entirely possible that they felt the same way about exercise as you do now.

The same is true of someone who has learned the secret, if there is one, of eating a well-balanced, nutritious diet as part of their daily life.  At one time, it is highly possible that they too liked to indulge in ice cream, hamburgers, or other seemingly unhealthy foods...in unhealthy quantities.

Did I mention that most foods are not "bad for you", they are just bad in the way they are prepared or in the quantities in which we eat them?  A McDonald's Big Mac is not "bad" for you despite the fact that it contains 485 calories and over 21 grams of fat.  What is bad is when you eat them regularly or eat similarly several times a day.

If you really want to lose weight in a healthy manner, you will need to eat better and move more.

I ask you:  Did I say "diet" or "exercise"?

Okay, you've stayed with me so far because I sort of promised to tell you how to lose weight without diet or exercise.

Here's where we're going to go with this.

I certainly DO recommend that you get some more activity into your life AND watch what you eat more carefully.

However, many people are overweight at least partly because they eat too much...including too much of the wrong things.  Our modern lifestyle, and the availibility of fast foods and prepackaged foods, combined with our personal lack of knowledge concerning healthy nutrition sets us up to gain weight.
