A Book About the
Best Way to Burn Fat and Build Muscle
Book Review: Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle eBook by Tom Venuto
By
Donovan Baldwin
In my
personal library, which contains a wide variety of books on
bodybuilding, health, and fitness, there are two books that I would
insist on keeping if that was all that I was allowed to have.
One is a hardback book, "The Barbell Way to Physical Fitness" by Bruce
Randall, which is no longer in print, and the other is a book that I
downloaded to my computer and
printed out to read and re-read.
This second book is an ebook which I purchased online for a few bucks
and downloaded in a minute, with my broadband connection.
This book is "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" by
Tom Venuto.
While I definitely want to talk about Bruce Randall (Mr. Universe,
1959) and his book eventually, this review is about Tom Venuto and his
ebook, "Burn the Fat,
Feed the Muscle". Bruce Randall got me
started on exercise,
but Tom Venuto showed me a new way to use what I had
previously learned.
First of all, who IS this Tom Venuto guy anyway and why listen to him?
Well, Tom Venuto has been described as a long-time natural bodybuilder,
personal trainer, nutritionist and success coach. After I
downloaded his ebook, "Burn
the Fat, Feed the Muscle", and did a little
research, I can honestly say that, in my opinion, that's probably a
pretty accurate description of the man.
So, let's just take a quick look at Mr. Venuto for a moment, while
keeping that description in mind.
Natural
Bodybuilder: It appears that Tom Venuto
epitomizes
"natural" bodybuilding. This means that he does not believe
in the use of steroids or other similar substances to produce fitness
and bodybuilding results. In his bodybuilding career, which
has spanned nearly a quarter of a century, he has NEVER used any of
these substances. As you would imagine, his ebook, Burn the
Fat, Feed the Muscle, explains in detail how to get the
fitness, weight
loss, and/or bodybuilding results you want simply by using exercise and
sensible nutrition.
Personal
Trainer: In addition to his long career as a
professional natural bodybuilder, Tom Venuto has a a BSc. degree in
exercise science. He is a certified strength and conditioning
specialist (CSCS) and is also a certified personal trainer (NSCA-CPT).
He is a member of the International Society for Sports Nutrition
(ISSN), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National
Strength And Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Nutritionist:
As was mentioned above, Mr. Venuto is a member
of the International Society for Sports Nutrition (ISSN) and his ebook,
"Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle"
demonstrates his in-depth knowledge of
the field of nutrition. In fact, he considers nutrition to be
such an important factor in health, fitness, bodybuilding, and weight
loss that in order to learn more than just what books had to offer, he
actually tried different nutritional regimens and food combinations
himself over the span of his career in order to be able to report first
hand about what works and what doesn't.
By the way, as you learn in the 9 page introduction to his book, he
bases all his nutritonal advice on foods that can be found at your
local supermarket.
Success Coach: We'll skip all the degrees and accolades for
this one. Let's just look at the title of the first chapter
in his ebook, "Burn the
Fat, Feed the Muscle":
Chapter
1. How to Set Powerful, Compelling Goals That
Will
Propel You Forward and Charge You Up With Unstoppable Motivation.
Not only is that sentence the title of the first chapter, but you could
almost believe that it is Tom Venuto's personal mission statement for
life in general. In fact, in reading this 22 page chapter (22
pages in my edition, but Tom is constantly revising and updating, so
yours might be slightly different) I eventually gave up counting all
the references sited by Tom that indicate pretty specifically where he
is coming from and where he's going.
The first words on page 1 are a quote from Michaelangelo, and he makes
liberal use of the insights and comments of Anthony Robbins, Zig
Ziglar, Dr. Maxwell Maltz, Bob Procter, and Arnold Schwazenegger,
to
name just a few. Throughout this chapter, and other parts of
Burn the Fat, Feed the muscle, he uses the thoughts and words of many
powerful and successful individuals to illustrate various points he
covers in this 300+ page ebook.
That's right, folks, I said 300+ pages. There is no possible
way that I can cover here all the points that Tom Venuto has included
in his ebook, "Burn the
Fat, Feed the Muscle", so instead, I offer a
list of the remaining chapters so that you can get an idea of what his
book contains:

Just by reading this list of the titles of the chapters, I am sure you
can get a pretty good idea of why Tom Venuto's ebook, "Burn the Fat,
Feed the Muscle" would be of value to anyone wishing to
lose weight,
get fit, or just be healthy.
I used much of the information in the book myself several months ago
when I decided that I was losing some of my battles with fat and age
(63 years young).
Using this book as my personal guide, I reversed the downward slide on
which I found myself, despite my own years of personal experience with
fitness and health. As a writer, I have also used many of
Tom's ideas as jumping off points for various articles on health and
fitness, and I have often used his work as a reference when answering
questions about health and fitness.
Whether your goal is to become a competition level bodybuilder, fit
into a bikini, pick up chicks, or you just want to find effective and
natural ways to lose weight, improve health, or become physically fit,
I cannot find a better book to recommend to you than the ebook "Burn
the Fat, Feed the Muscle" by Tom Venuto.
